Model to Open at White Cube Bermondsey
From 28 November, Antony Gormley will present a major show, his first at White Cube Bermondsey, which investigates our experience of architecture through the body, and of the body through architecture.
Made in direct response to the space of the South Galleries is the vast new work, Model, which is also the title of the exhibition. Together with a number of new sculptures built of solid iron blocks, a selection of the artist’s working models and a series of new expansion pieces, this exhibition will powerfully extend Gormley’s exploration of the body as a site of transformation.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue with an essay by art historian, Michael Newman.
