Memory Palace, White Cube Bermondsey
‘Memory Palace’ is a group exhibition of over 90 works by more than 40 contemporary artists, spanning across the two White Cube London galleries in Bermondsey and Mason’s Yard. The exhibition aims to invite reflections on the shape and character of memory by leading the viewer through six refractions of it: Historical, Autobiographical, Traces, Transcription, Collective and Sensory.
Two of Antony Gormley’s works, Into The Light (1986-87) and Scaffold X (2017), alongside works by Darren Almond, David Hammons, Mona Hatoum, Runa Islam and others, feature in the section of the exhibition which explores the theme of traces as memory.
