This exhibition showcases ‘contemporary’ ukiyo-e prints created by artists, designers and creators from various fields who have been inspired by the expressive potential of traditional woodcut printing. Acting as modern-day ‘eshi’ (artists), they collaborated with Adachi Institute’s carvers and printers to produce these works.

A series of new prints by Antony Gormley are included in the exhibition.
